The newest Windows Server version is not always the correct choice for an existing business application. Confirm the software vendor's supported operating systems, database version and required Windows roles before ordering.
- Windows Server 2019: useful when an older supported application requires it.
- Windows Server 2022: a mature choice for many current business applications.
- Windows Server 2025: appropriate for software whose vendor explicitly supports the newer platform.
